Located in scenic Flemington, NJ in Hunterdon County, Castlegate Farm, home to Dressage Trainer Nancy Clarke, is an idyllic place for both horses and riders to learn. The quiet atmosphere of the 33 acre farm and the well drained rubber and stone dust outdoor arena are conducive to steady work and focused concentration.


Nancy Clarke's fascination with in horses goes back to her childhood, and includes understanding the roles played by innate equine behavior and biomechanics in successful dressage training. She works with horses used for dressage, combined training, combined driving and endurance.

Before concentrating on dressage, she did combined training and was a successful hunter rider. For over ten years, she has worked with French Classical Dressage Trainer and Instructor Dominique Barbier. She is a clinic organizer, and regular visitor to Barbier Farms in Healdsburg, Ca, where she studies with Dominique and Debra Barbier.
